Details of Afghan-U.S. security pact are still hazy

Top U.S. and Afghan diplomats met over the weekend to discuss the Strategic Partnership Agreement, a pact that aims to outline America's commitment in Afghanistan for the next 10 years. The meeting represents the second round of negotiations over the pact, which was signed a year ago, and some analysts say few details have been finalized about how the pact will be implemented. "So far we haven't seen any practical steps forward from the Strategic Partnership Agreement," said analyst and former parliamentarian Abbas Nuyan. The next round of negotiations is scheduled for October.
