Gov. Scott should sign Fla. ethanol repeal bill

Florida Gov. Rick Scott should sign the repeal of the state's ethanol requirements, writes the editorial board of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Consumers are adversely affected by problems with lawnmower and boat engines, the board writes. "The rub against the Florida repeal is that a similar federal ethanol mandate remains. But by signing the repeal, Scott best serves his constituents and sends a message to Washington that corny mandates to prop up big business hurt us all," the board writes.
