A Cleveland high-school principal and four teachers recently traveled to China to visit their sister school in Guangzhou. They said they learned that teachers work in classes of 50 to 55 students during a school day that lasts from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with two-hour lunch breaks and 10-minute breaks between classes. "Understanding what's happening in another culture can only help to diversify your students and their outlook and world view," said Tracey Gobel, an English teacher who went on the eight-day trip.
