Data about drugmakers' payments to physicians will become available throughout the country under the Sunshine Act in 2014, Roni Caryn Rabin writes. Patients will decide whether and how to use the data when making an important medical decision or when selecting a physician, she writes. Patients should avoid doctors who dispense samples and see pharmaceutical representatives, said Dr. Adriane Fugh-Berman of Georgetown University Medical Center.
