Sequester cuts hurt seniors, veterans

Automatic, across-the-board federal budget cuts are taking a toll on programs that help struggling seniors with utility bills, help veterans find work and conduct research into an AIDS vaccine. "There's just not enough money to go around," said Charlie Peterson, program director with the Wise Owl Senior Center in Arizona, which helps seniors with electric bills. "There are really going to be a lot of people out there who will be living without power."
