Ohio Highway Patrol uses infrared technology to aid first responders

The Ohio Highway Patrol conducts aerial searches free of charge for local law enforcement agencies, using its own planes or helicopters and Forward-Looking Infrared technology. An aerial infrared search can save time locating a missing person, this article says. Patrol spokesman Lt. Craig Cvetan said the technology can be used day or night, in any season and in most types of terrain.
