Playing outdoors yields greater exercise minutes in children

Children who played outdoors with friends gained 17 minutes of physical activity each hour, compared with 6 minutes per hour in those who played indoors, British researchers found. The results appear in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity.
