World History Gains Favor

The events of Sept. 11 reportedly have accelerated the trend toward teaching world history in U.S. schools. The growth of the non-white immigrant population has necessitated a broadening of history curricula in some areas, a report says. World history is said to have reached a milestone yesterday with the debut of the world history advanced-placement test.
