Device makers announce regulatory approvals for cardiac products

Three device makers announced regulatory approvals for new heart devices on Tuesday, the same day cardiologists were arriving at the Heart Rhythm Society's annual scientific meeting in San Francisco. The FDA approved Medtronic and Boston Scientific Corp. defibrillators and St. Jude Medical secured FDA and European approval for a pacemaker lead.
