Educators need tools to serve gifted children

Gifted children have unique needs, but few classroom teachers are ever trained to address them, writes gifted-education specialist Tamara Fisher. Just 77 U.S. colleges offer whole courses in gifted education while most schools simply discuss gifted students during one lecture in a class on exceptional children, she says.
