Online ad rates down in April

Publishers charged an average of 23% less for Web ads in April -- with a thousand impressions costing about 49 cents in March, as compared with 38 cents in April, according to the PubMatic AdPrice Index. Most of the loss occurred at large sites, while CPMs for sites that receive fewer than 1 million page views per month rose during the same period, from $1.17 in March to $1.29 in April.
