Hands-on math, science lessons offer challenge

Some Pittsburgh-area fourth-graders are participating in a program for students with a special interest in science that allows them to substitute their usual academic courses with more challenging science and math courses. Students do more hands-on activities and are able to work at a faster pace than their peers.
