In times of uncertainty, Steven DeMaio writes, the response of many people seems to be either inaction or overreaction -- and neither extreme is helpful in calming nerves or solving problems. Instead, he suggests initiating difficult conversations, soliciting opinions and listening to the fears of others. "The very audacity of the act teaches you how to embrace the unknown," he writes.
