Maryland breaks ground on $100M wastewater treatment project

Crews broke ground yesterday on a $100 million upgrade to a wastewater treatment plant in Howard County, Md. The Little Patuxent Wastewater Reclamation Plant project will reduce phosphorous levels inthe nearby river by 85%, which in turn reduces the levels of phosphorous in the Chesapeake Bay. The plant treats 25 million gallons of water per day.
