A social code of conduct for journalists

Dow Jones has laid out a code of conduct for reporters on Twitter and Facebook. Among the rules: Writers have to ask editors before adding a potentially confidential source as a friend. Journalists are also told not to recruit friends and family to defend their work, or mix business and pleasure on Twitter.
