Bernanke is concerned Fed might hinder small-business lending

Ben Bernanke, chairman of the Federal Reserve, said that officials at the central bank are "sensitive" to the "appropriate balance" banks must strike when extending loans. He said the Fed is concerned about whether its examiners are causing banks to be too conservative in their small-business loans.
