Laguna Beach, Calif., pet owners are warned of rattlesnake threat

With sightings of rattlesnakes reported in Laguna Beach, Calif., on the rise, area animal owners are urged to take precautions, including providing dogs with anti-venom, which is available at some veterinary clinics. "It won't keep your dog from reacting [to a bite] but will minimize damage and buy enough time to get the dog to a vet for treatment without dying along the way," an animal services officer said.
