Railroad freight traffic climbed 15.8% in April, group finds

April freight traffic on major railroads increased 15.8% compared with the same month last year, according to the Association of American Railroads. Shipments of all 19 commodities tracked by the association posted gains. Shipments of primary metal products nearly doubled.
