There are many ways to cook asparagus -- poaching, grilling, roasted, sauteing -- but none embrace the natural flavor of the green stalk quite like steaming. When steaming, it's important to keep an eye on the stalks so they do not overcook. After they are done, choose a dip such as Hollandaise -- or something simple, like melted, salted butter -- to complete the dish.
