AAFP seeks guidance on qualifying for higher Medicaid rates

The AAFP and other physician groups asked the CMS for more information about how physicians qualify for higher Medicaid payments under an Accountable Care Act provision allowing for two years of increased rates. Physicians must self-attest that 60% of their Medicaid claims include evaluation and management codes or that they are board-certified in a primary care specialty, and the groups asked CMS to release dates for self-attesting deadlines in each state.
