Anti-ethanol bills are taken up in Maine Senate

Two anti-ethanol proposals in Maine have moved to the state Senate and could see action in the next few weeks. LD 105, which would allow sales of E5, was passed by the House even after a 9-4 "ought not pass" recommendation by the Maine Joint Standing Environment and Natural Resources Committee. LD 115, which would ban sales of corn-based ethanol fuel if two other New England states do the same, has been tabled in the Senate.
