Gravity's implicit data algorithm personalizes sites, boosts views

Web personalization technology firm Gravity has been implemented by some 50 sites since it offered an application programming interface in February. The company uses the power of implicit Big Data, according to founder Amit Kapur, meaning that its proprietary algorithm "blends a user's browsing history and social activity using strictly semantic analysis from numerous sources," writes Mike Shields. Wetpaint.com says the deployment of Gravity has meant a million more page views per month.
