Manufacturer designs training program for potential employees

The owner of a Michigan manufacturing company who was dissatisfied with the lack of available skilled workers decided to develop a curriculum and design a 12-week training program that would give potential workers the skills and knowledge they would need to work for the company. The owner says the program has contributed to a drop in turnover, with 12 of 15 people who completed the program still employed.
