The Full STEAHM Ahead! conference -- focusing on science, technology, engineering, art, health and math -- brought together about 70 seventh- and eighth-grade girls from the Elmira, N.Y., area for workshops about science, technology, engineering and math education and how to make wise choices. "It helps you get a better understanding of what it's really like when you are older," student Tessah Rosler said. "It's a fun way of learning, too."
