Minn. passes marriage-equality bill

The Minnesota Senate on Monday passed legislation granting same-sex couples the freedom to marry, sending the bill to Gov. Mark Dayton for final approval. Dayton is expected to sign the bill today, making Minnesota the 12th U.S. state to recognize marriage equality. Sen. Scott Dibble, the chamber's only openly gay member, said before the vote, "Today, we have the power, the awesome, humbling power, to make dreams come true."
