Study ties inulin to better plasma glucose rates in diabetes

Daily inulin supplementation was associated with an 8.5% improvement in plasma glucose levels and a 10.4% improvement in glycosylated hemoglobin rates in women with type 2 diabetes, a study in Diabetes & Metabolism Journal revealed. Researchers also noted better total antioxidant capacity and superoxide dismutase activity in the inulin group compared with the controls.
