How to get others on board with your ideas

Overcoming resistance to new ideas can be achieved by presenting the idea as an urgent problem that needs solving and clearly identifying the idea's rewards, so others view the payoff as better than the status quo, writes author and speaker Mark Di Somma. Presenters should also get others to champion the idea by giving them roles in developing it and finding common ground with those whose approval they seek. "People accept ideas more readily from people they like; people they come to believe are a lot like them," writes Di Somma.
