How to use Instagram to liven up classroom lessons

Instagram's usefulness goes beyond social posting, according to Michael Sharnoff, associate online editor of eSchool News. In this commentary, he suggests five ways that Instagram can be used to improve learning. For example, he suggests English-language arts teachers ask students to post pictures of their favorite novels or authors to be used in discussion, and, in social studies, students can post photos of other countries, cultures and important documents.
