Cable providers are doing their part to try to keep up with the exponential demand for bandwidth, by developing gigasphere modems and the DOCSIS 3.1 network, both of which should be up and running by 2016, according to Stephane Bourque, founder and CEO of Incognito Software. "The cable industry seems to welcome challenge in way that others like wireless carriers don't. It tends to do what's needed," Bourque said.
