Boeing: Aircraft financing strong despite American slump

Although American sources of aircraft financing have all but dried up in recent weeks, European banks continue to lend and sovereign funds in the Mideast and China are prepared to take on new business, according to a Boeing director of capital markets development. The changes were spurred by the 2003 Cape Town Treaty, which specified international standards for aircraft financing and leasing.
