JPMorgan to expand in trading of commodities, energy

Blythe Masters, JPMorgan Chase's global head of commodities, said the bank plans to begin trading physical oil by the end of 2008. Despite expectations of job cuts within JPMorgan, the bank is planning an expansion of commodities and energy trading, Masters said. Other investment banks have worked to increase profits by playing a larger role in the physical markets, where some are forecasting that oil will hit $200 a barrel.
