Search-and-rescue experts question Chinese efforts:

As China rushes soldiers to earthquake-ravaged Sichuan Province, some experts question whether the time for sheer manpower has already passed. "Search and rescue is very specialized and very sophisticated now," says Bryan Juncosa, a veteran of Ground Zero rescue efforts and member of ASCE. "We have technology and training that are able to locate survivors and get them and the rescuers out without injury." Without the right equipment and training, experts fear the reinforcements flooding into Sichuan could be putting themselves at risk.
