Carlyle becomes first to settle Cuomo pension probe

Carlyle Group has agreed to pay $20 million to settle an investigation into alleged corruption by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. The investigation into the private-equity fund centered on its dealings with the state's biggest pension fund. Carlyle also agreed to a code of conduct for using third-party agents in its dealings with the fund.
