Main span of ambitious West Virginia bridge to be complete next month

A 760-foot span of the 1/2-mile Interstate 64 bridge across the Kanawha River in West Virginian needs only 44 more feet to be completed. Engineers next month expect to close the gap. The project includes six other spans as well. Engineers say the main span is the largest of its type in North America. The entire project is expected to be finished by October of 2010.
