Mediator rules in favor of Hawker in dispute with union

In April 2009, Hawker Beechcraft outsourced the work its material clerks, material handlers and truck drivers used to perform to Aerospace Logistics Services. A federal mediator met with representatives of the Machinists union and company executives in January after the union filed a complaint about the outsourcing. The mediator sided with Hawker, saying the company did not violate its agreement with the union.
