App allows users to examine ICD, CRT-D implantation appropriateness

A team of cardiologists from the University of Oklahoma has designed and launched a free mobile application called iImplant. The tool, based on the 2013 implantable cardioverter-defibrillator and cardiac resynchronization therapy-defibrillator criteria, could be used by health care professionals to easily decide whether an ICD or CRT-D would be medically appropriate for certain patient populations.
