Delegation urges AMA to explain certain EHR procedures to CMS

The American Medical Association should continue to educate CMS that proper template use and cutting/pasting within an EHR system are not fraudulent measures, according to a resolution to be introduced by the New Jersey delegation during a meeting of the AMA's House of Delegates next month. The delegation has also urged the AMA to develop guidelines on such actions to promote accurate data documentation.
