Government expert offers advice for EHR MU audits

Up to 10% of physician participants in the Medicare Electronic Health Records Incentive Program could face a meaningful use audit, which can be random or targeted, according to Rob Anthony of CMS' Office of E-Health Standards and Services. He offers advice for physicians who are selected for an audit, including having the correct supporting documentation with the numerator and denominator values used for attestation.
