GPS satellite sent to space on Atlas V rocket

A new GPS navigation satellite has been sent into space aboard an Atlas V rocket launched Wednesday night from Cape Canaveral, Fla. This is the fourth launch this year for the United Launch Alliance, which is a partnership between Boeing and Lockheed Martin to launch satellites. A Delta IV rocket is slated to carry a military satellite into space next Wednesday.
