Higher food intake seen among happy eaters in study

Participants who watched movie scenes that showed positive emotions ate more food and overindulged compared with those who watched a scene that depicted negative emotions, a study in the journal Appetite found. "The current findings underline the importance of positive emotions in emotional eating, and provide new insights on the relationship between eating and mood melioration," researchers wrote in the study.
