IBM has established a Power Systems Linux Center in Beijing, hoping to attract Chinese developers working with mobile applications, Big Data, social business computing and the cloud. "China is an environment in which you have some of the largest challenges," IBM's Colin Parris said. "If you solve those adequately in China, what you have is a capability to deliver that solution around the world." In connection with the Beijing center, Big Blue will work with Linux distributors Red Hat and SUSE.
