Maine Senate votes down anti-ethanol bill

The Maine Senate voted 21-14 against a bill that would prohibit the use of ethanol in the state if two other New England states adopt the same measure. Opponents of the bill say it would put Maine in conflict with federal rules on ethanol use, reduce consumer choices at the pump and drive up fuel costs.
