Some factors that lead to teacher burnout can be mitigated by teachers themselves or their administrators, K-8 technology teacher Mary Beth Hertz writes in this blog post. She offers five preventative ideas, such as connecting with peers to reduce feelings of isolation. "Feeling part of a team, knowing what others are doing in their classrooms, and seeing how your work fits into the bigger picture is motivating, inspiring, and increases feelings of self-worth," she writes.
