Lawmakers seek to hold off tying tests to graduation requirements in R.I.

Lawmakers in Rhode Island's Senate voted Wednesday to postpone linking standardized tests aligned with the Common Core State Standards to high-school students' graduation requirements. However, the measure is expected to fail in the state House, with some saying that district superintendents already have waivers available to them.
