Mass. students say Senior Focus class sparks interest in service learning

Students taking the Senior Focus course at Winchester High School in Massachusetts recently appeared before a school committee to share how the class has connected students with service opportunities with local organizations. Students chose their area of interest by observing presentations by participating groups, then crafting proposals of what type of service work they wanted to do. While working as interns with the organizations, the students kept journals and are working on papers reflecting on the experience.
