More colleges are courting Hispanic students

Colleges and universities are stepping up their efforts to recruit Hispanic students with the U.S. Department of Education predicting that Hispanics will account for 60% of population growth through 2050. Enrollment offices at institutions such as Maryville College in Tennessee are courting potential students within a 500-mile radius and are developing programs such as the Villamaria initiative that hosts Hispanic-focused events and has launched a Hispanic student group.
