Atlanta Seeks Green Solution To Water-Sewer Problem

Activists reportedly want to create 600 acres of new green space to help Atlanta solve its water-sewer problem. The city has suffered from combined sewer overflows for years. Lines carry both storm water and sewage and during heavy rains can spill over into waterways. The reported vision is to create a series of ponds and lakes to capture rainwater and then set aside park space around those ponds.
