Malpractice insurance rates creeping up on NPs

While soaring medical malpractice rates for physicians are causing some to go as far as to leave practice, increasing rates should not be as dire a problem for nurse practitioners, experts say. Rising rates may have some impact, however, prompting some NPs to drop volunteer or part-time work.
