Consultant: Biotech firms should consider moving to smaller cities

Instead of locating in major metropolitan areas, biotech companies should consider locating in smaller cities, according to an industry consultant. Cities such as Pittsburgh are more likely to see biotech investment than larger cities such as San Jose, Calif., Boston and San Francisco, when factoring in such things as affordable housing and operating costs, said national locating consulting company Boyd.
