FDA clears use of GSK vaccine Rotarix in children

The FDA said GlaxoSmithKline's Rotarix vaccine can be used in children after finding no evidence that porcine circovirus found in the drug is harmful to humans. The decision comes days after a panel of experts favored continued use of Rotarix and Merck & Co.'s RotaTeq despite the discovery of the virus in the rotavirus vaccines.
